Excellent food! I loved the brisket! It is so tender you can cut it with a fork. I had the 2-way combo with meatball (also really good). I ordered Mac n cheese and collard greens for my sides. The greens were really good. I also tried the Italian sandwich and it was outstanding and possibly the best Italian sandwich I've ever tried! Great service as well. Will definitely comeback to try other things on the menu.
They have some great brisket there and the guys there are so helpful and friendly they give great service and they have a nice backyard that you can go out and sit and chill and enjoy your delicious meal
If you like it loud and fun and delicious, this is the place. Pinball, flawless menu of delicious food and drink, and a great courtyard.
Best Brisket sandwich I have ever had. I'm very critical about my food being that I worked in the restaurant business and the flavor and combination of perfectly smoked meat toasted roll coleslaw and a spiced sauce is perfect. I wish it was closer to home and not in the neighborhood it is but I joked that I might have to take a bullet for this sandwich. Funky place but great food.

Best BBQ in the East Bay (at least the pulled pork n ribs ((most of the time))! Love the punk vibes here and they have a lovely rotating tap beer list. Don't expect them to cater to you or it be a lovely ambiance, this is not that place. They have karaoke some nights and live music other nights
I've ordered Stay Gold a few times on Doordash. It's a nice local Oakland spot. I've mainly ordered their meat sandwiches, I've tried their Brisket Sandwich and Slides as well as their Riblet Sandwiches. Their sandwiches come with a very good amount of saucy meat and are usually topped with cole slaw, pickles and cheese. Their sandwiches are good, although I can't comment on how healthy they might be, let's just say if I ate it for lunch I'd probably try to make sure I had veggies or a salad as a big part of my dinner.
I got a pulled pork sandwich and a cider. There's a nice patio in back for some sun shine.
After hearing about the tragedies that happened here, a few of my coworkers and I decided to spend a lunch here to support the business. This is my second time eating here! I always opt for the BBQ brisket sandwich. It's flavorful, soft, and filled with meat. You can't go wrong. The beans are also really good! Didn't order it myself but someone at my table did and I got to nibble. Everyone loved the beans. While in my opinion it's not Horns BBQ, Stay Gold can hold its own. There's tons of beer selection and I've heard that there are events hosted here. Neighborhood is not the best so just be weary of your car and your surroundings!
